There was a lengthy article in yesterday’s NYT magazine that worried us …

Essentially it is saying that the decline of the western word’s ability or willingness to cook goes back a long way and is perhaps irreversible.  It’s a fascinating and worrisome thesis.  In this household the culinary arts are revered and practiced and the microwave is only ever there to thaw out frozen (home made) bread – we know several good friends similarly blessed, but one fears we may be a dinosaur generation and efter us it’s cheeze-whizz and frozen pizza for everyone.

How depressing if this is only partially true.
