Pictures From a Different Age

For reasons I won’t bore you with I have been evaluating a couple of software packages for “digitally developing” RAW format photos from my cameras.  One of the test pictures I have been working with was taken in May of this year in England when, with friends, we visited an exhibition of Eric Ravilious artwork in Saffron Walden … this view was adjacent to the gallery.

Anyway, the weather was lowering and I saw a photo opportunity. The colour image below is what resulted (processed by one of the two aforementioned software options) and while learning the tools I came across a “recipe” from creating a vintage image such as might have resulted from old glass plates.

An interesting experiment anyway …
