At the end of September we successfully completed the eighth season in a row at the Garden at Fritz where, as faithful followers will know, our community grows free and fresh and organic produce for local food banks (click the link to know more)
The numbers have to be tallied but a rough estimate tells us that yet again we have grown and distributed more than in each of the previous years. The total retail value of our crops, comparing prices in local stores, being just shy of $9000.
Such a lot of pleasure to be had doing this and a great group of people (some being pictured below) to work alongside of.
Now we simply have to clear the site and let winter “happen” before we can come back for the ninth year in a row. Maybe that will be the year we can break the $10,000 hurdle?
