Managed a warm day off work today to stain and preserve the deck, not a pleasant job and especially not for a chap with old knees … but now it’s done and we can enjoy the summer with the job behind us.
Meanwhile, the flowers and critters of the week have been these … especially pleasing was to have finally tracked down the nest cavity of the Hairy Woodpecker who has been calling and tapping away. It’s in the big paper birch tree to the front of the house.
- Should have used the tripod 🙂
- Even more spider youth
- A hatch of baby spiders
- Hairy Woodpecker nesting hole
- The pristine and newly stained deck
- Annuals ready for the planters
- Dandelion – damn ’em
- Spider on Sour Cherry
- The first flag iris
- Late narcissus
