No-mow May has taken off it seems judging by the dandelions seen on lawns as we walk around town – there have even been areas of parks that so far have remained longer than tradition dictates and at the council meeting earlier this year two councillors extolled the virtues of not mowing … this month anyway.

As you know we practice No-mow Ever and today took some time to take a morning wander (after rain last night) to record what’s happening.

Ajuga, forget-me-nots, dogwood and viburnum blossom, dames’s rocket, irises and assorted other excellent things that would not be here if we gardened with the aid of a mower.

Looks good to us … there would have been more pictures but the mosquitoes were vicious.
