Morgan Arboretum

Two big snowfalls this week tempted us to go and explore the “winter wonderland” that the arboretum has turned into this week. Apart from a couple of distant people skiing and a couple more walking dogs (dogs love snow) I think we had the place to ourselves. If you live nearby and have never visited then this is the time to get out there. A truly gorgeous morning … and -12C after yesterday’s-22C felt positively balmy.

Now … after this glorious winter day temperatures rose overnight, there was freezing rain, then regular rain, most of the snow turned to knee-ddep white slush, temperatures fell and it all froze – yet it still looked beautiful. Visit the next post “The Difference a Day Makes”
