Sixty-some years ago I had inherited a black-and-white roll-film Box Brownie camera and was the envy of my friends … sometimes I even had enough pocket money saved to put a 12-shot roll of film in it and sometimes my parents paid to have it developed. This was high technology on the opening cusp of the sixties. My grandfather, who knew about stuff, told me that one day I MUST get myself a … you’ll have to look at the last photo to see what. Anyway, coming up to the ripe age of 75 I finally managed to get the camera of my dreams and, of course, it had to be taken out in the snow for a walk.
It is going to be a super botanical camera as well as excellent for landscapes and portraits. As for birds and distant critters … my faithful Sonys will continue to fill that gap.
OMG a Leica!! Jealous much. 75 is a special number, you deserve it. Enjoy. We look forward to seeing magnificent results.
I,too , had a Brownie box camera; but no pocket money. I recall that there was a film in the camera and I took some photographs of two horses in a field. I do not recall ever using it again.
