Blue Jay

Blue Jays are like teenagers, always flopping about and shouting. They also like very much to take regular baths and showers and as we provide a heated water bath for them in cold Québec winters, how could this smart fellow refuse the opportunity.

Awfully common birds, in both senses of the word, but really enjoyable ones. It’s too easy as a birder to dismiss species that you can see any day of the week and to concentrate on the rarities (guilty, on occasion, as charged m’Lud) but you can get a lot of pleasure out of mingling with old chums.
