Being a “GreenBirder” I intend that most of the birding from September onwards after my years of wage-slavery are behind me, will be done au pied or on the bike and almost completely without the aid of an internal combustion engine. For the record, as I have been asked, I identify with guy at the back puffing and panting and going red with the exertion to keep up with my birding chum who is streaking ahead. Naturally the bird we are after is a House Sparrow
