As some of you will know I am a member of the Board of Directors of the Ecomuseum Zoo which is close to where I live. It’s not a commercial zoo, but one which concentrates on the animals of Quebec and provides a home and care for animals that for various reasons cannot survive in the wild. The EcoMuseum has an extensive and successful educational and scientific research mission and is entirely dedicated to the well-being of Québec wildlife, both for the animals in our care and for endangered species in the wild.
They have put together a short and informative video about the zoo and its animals as the stresses of the covid pandemic start to diminish … please follow this link, I am sure that you will enjoy it (subtitles in English):
Super video, thanks
Thanks, for this, Richard. The museum has changed enormously since David refused to renew our membership because of what he felt was shameful treatment of Roger. I felt that David’s dissatisfaction went on for far too long, but I wasn’t willing to make a huge issue of it. So now I shall rejoin and hope to take our toddler granddaughters there one day.
Where are the BEARS?!
Janet – The bears are tucked away hibernating for the winter …
… which is a very sensible arrangement. It’s got suddenly quite cold and there is snow, albeit not a lot yet.
