The meterology people were correct for once and indeed we did get a goodly dump of white fluffy snow overnight and it’s still falling … 30 or more cm.  The guys with the snow ploughs have been doing a stirling job though, as they usually do, and the nation has gone productively to work – with the exception of schools that seem to close at the drop of a hat.  That’s OK I suppose, but I don’t see why the bureaucrats that run the education system get to take the day off as well – the rest of Quebec made it in with little fuss so how come they can’t manage it?
