Who knew – it snows in Montreal in November.  It’s all going to be melted away by the weekend but today we have quite a lot of white slippery stuff and the unprepared motorist, of whom there are many around here, did not have their winter tires on the car and so slid off the road this morning causing multiple accidents. Well, what a surprise. (we, smugly, can say that we have had the tires on since the beginning of the month)

Also unprepared for the weather were a couple of young red-winged Blackbirds that J saw on our feeders today.  They should have been long ago headed south and are going to regret their tardiness soon if they don’t get a move on.
