Almost the end of February and a light snowfall overnight coated everything with a covering of snow and ice. The sun came out, the temperature was not many degrees below zero. In three or four weeks most of the snow will be gone (though more could arrive) and there will be a couple of weeks of mud and slush so what else to do on a glorious morning but to go out, get some exercise and see what’s about. Just a very special morning.

The tracks in the snow were made by a coyote in search of a snack.

Strangely there were no other people to be seen where we went (ten minutes from home) which is good for us but why? You would expect the forest and fields to be full of people enjoying the day … after all the home office will still be there in the evening but this day won’t.
