Helped take a group of people around the Arboretum this morning looking for birds (note – Chris did all the work, I was just along for the ride).
Only 13 species of birds despite the almost perfect conditions but there were some nice ones in there including Pine Grosbeaks, four Pileated Woodpeckers and a female Red-bellied Woodpecker. Either way, with or without birds, the morning was beautiful, the snow-shoes made the walking pleasant in the deep powder and all was, and is, very right with the world.
Bacon butties and coffee added to the pleasure once home again.
