Finally, after weeks of close-up automated photographs of Robins, Grackles and Cardinals at the pond, our automated camera did its job and captured a warbler visting the waterfall. Any other year they would have been lining up to bathe in it but this, as the more faithful readers will know, has been a strange season.
Anyway – not only was it a warbler it was a Blackpoll Warbler which, while not a lifer by any means, was a new species for the garden list which now stands at a comfortable 106 species.
