All Hallows Garden Flowers : 1 November 2021
In England we used to have fun finding how many plants we had in flower in the garden on Christmas Day. Not really an option here but J had a good idea when she noticed just how many flowers are still flowering (some only just) in the garden today. It seemed a good idea to start keeping a new annual list of all the flowers actually in flower on All Hallows Day, 1 November.
Inspired by the late season, after a very wet weekend it was a good excuse to enjoy the garden in sunshine. All flowering plants with coloured flowers in bloom were counted including native, weeds and horticultural varieties.
Amazingly J found the following 29 species in flower
